Forestry Officer
Hello! I’m Chungdu Tshering, a Forestry Officer at the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Forest Research and Training (UWIFoRT) in Bhutan. With a strong background in dendrochronology, forest ecology, and environmental monitoring, I serve as the Dendro-lab In-Charge, tutor, and mentor for forestry trainees.

Promoting Science Education and Citizen-based Environmental Research
I’m also the Deputy Country Coordinator for the GLOBE Program (NASA) in Bhutan, promoting science education and citizen-based environmental research.

My recent work includes a fellowship at the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research, University of Arizona, through the Agnese N. Haury Fellowship, where I studied dendrochemical and climate-growth relationships in Himalayan conifers.
